Job Overview

NWE is seeking talented, disciplined, athletic and charismatic Professional Wrestlers to join our growing roster.

We welcome both established professional wrestlers and promising talents with appropriate training and potential.

Successful candidates will participate in NWE matches, live events, training, rehearsals, promotional activities, media appearances and other NWE productions.

Key Responsibilities & Obligations

Perform professionally and safely in NWE wrestling matches and live events.
Attend scheduled training sessions, rehearsals, briefings and production meetings.
Work collaboratively with wrestlers, referees, coaches, producers and other NWE personnel.
Develop and portray assigned characters, personas and storylines where required.
Deliver promos, interviews, entrances and other performance elements.
Follow match plans, production directions and instructions from authorised NWE personnel.
Maintain physical fitness and conditioning appropriate for professional wrestling.
Participate in promotional shoots, interviews, press activities, fan engagements and social media content when required.
Maintain professionalism and represent NWE positively both inside and outside the ring.
Follow NWE safety procedures, code of conduct and talent policies.
Maintain confidentiality regarding unreleased storylines, match plans and other confidential information.
Be available to travel for events, training and appearances when required.

Requirements

Applicants should preferably have:

Professional wrestling training from a recognised wrestling school, academy, trainer or promotion.
Knowledge of professional wrestling fundamentals and in-ring safety.
Strong physical fitness, strength, stamina, flexibility and coordination.
Previous wrestling, combat sports, athletics, gymnastics, stunt or related performance experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Discipline, professionalism and willingness to continuously train and improve.
Ability to take direction and constructive feedback.
Availability for NWE events and promotional activities.
Willingness and ability to travel when required.

Preferred Skills

Experience or demonstrated ability in the following will be an advantage:

In-ring wrestling
Character development and storytelling
Promo and microphone skills
Acting or performance
Crowd engagement and stage presence
Combat sports or martial arts
Gymnastics, acrobatics, dance or stunt performance
Television, film, livestream or broadcast performance
Social media and personal branding

Formal academic qualifications are not necessarily required. Demonstrated practical ability and relevant training will be considered.

Professional Wrestling
Referee

Job Overview

NWE is seeking disciplined, physically fit, observant and professional Wrestling Referees to officiate matches across NWE events and productions.

The referee is responsible for match safety, rules, timing, communication and presentation, while working closely with wrestlers and production personnel to ensure matches are delivered safely and professionally.

Key Responsibilities & Obligations

Officiate NWE matches according to applicable rules and match formats.
Conduct pinfall counts, submission checks, count-outs, disqualifications and other match decisions.
Monitor performers for signs of injury, distress or unsafe situations.
Maintain strong awareness of activity inside and outside the ring.
Communicate discreetly with wrestlers and production personnel when required.
Manage match timing and respond to relevant production cues.
Maintain appropriate positioning without obstructing performers, cameras or audiences.
Inspect the ring and relevant equipment where required.
Attend rehearsals, match briefings, training and production meetings.
Follow planned match structures while responding appropriately to unexpected situations.
Work closely with wrestlers, producers, medical personnel, commentators and production teams.
Maintain neutrality, professionalism and confidentiality.
Follow all NWE health, safety and operational procedures.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

Good understanding of professional wrestling rules and match structures.
Knowledge of pinfalls, submissions, rope breaks, count-outs and disqualifications.
Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
Good physical fitness, stamina, mobility and coordination.
Ability to move quickly and safely around the ring.
Strong communication and listening skills.
Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
Good sense of timing and ability to follow production cues.
Professional appearance and conduct.
Willingness to undergo referee training and continuous development.
Availability for training, rehearsals, events and travel where required.

Preferred Experience

The following will be an advantage:

Professional wrestling referee experience.
Professional wrestling training.
Wrestling, coaching or other in-ring experience.
Sports officiating experience.
Knowledge of wrestling psychology and storytelling.
Live television or event production experience.
Basic understanding of broadcast camera positioning.
First Aid / CPR training.
Combat sports experience.

Qualifications

Formal academic qualifications are not mandatory.

Training or certification in professional wrestling, sports officiating, physical education, sports management, First Aid/CPR or combat sports may be an advantage.

Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Job Overview

NWE is seeking a confident, knowledgeable, energetic and engaging Wrestling Commentator to provide live and recorded commentary for NWE matches, shows and special events.

The ideal candidate combines wrestling knowledge, storytelling, quick thinking, communication and personality to enhance the viewing experience and bring NWE's action and stories to life.

Key Responsibilities

Provide live or recorded commentary for NWE matches and events.
Describe in-ring action clearly, accurately and enthusiastically.
Explain wrestling moves, strategies, match developments and key moments.
Communicate storylines, rivalries, character motivations and championship implications.
Introduce and reinforce wrestler names, personalities, signature moves and accomplishments.
Build excitement around entrances, major moments, victories and surprises.
Work effectively with co-commentators and the broadcast team.
Conduct wrestler interviews and pre/post-match discussions where required.
Research wrestlers, storylines, statistics and upcoming events before broadcasts.
Attend production meetings, rehearsals and broadcast briefings.

The ideal candidate understands that professional wrestling combines sport, storytelling, character development, drama and live entertainment, and can create stories that keep audiences emotionally invested.

Key Responsibilities

Develop original wrestling storylines, rivalries, alliances, betrayals and character arcs.
Write scripts for NWE shows, events, promos, backstage segments, interviews and digital content.
Develop short- and long-term storylines leading into major NWE events.
Create narratives around championships, tournaments, matches and special events.
Write dialogue and promo material suited to individual wrestler personalities.
Develop wrestling characters, personas, motivations and backstories.
Maintain continuity across episodes, events and ongoing storylines.
